Yeah he's rebooting the game. He made a post about it on the FB group a while back.

i'm still not entirely sure if it'll have a better fate than last time though, here's hoping for the best at least

Ahoy pirates!
Yes rumors are true, we are working on a new version and it will be a lot of the old stuff but we are also taking our time to improve a lot of the things that weren't so good like the end-game and even changing some basic gameplay elements that looks very promising. I get some awesome help with server stability as well so the server will be much better and reliable so more players can have fun at the same time.
Will post on my twitter with more info when things are getting close to something testable.
Cheers!

So here is something that I wanted to write for a while now, especially regarding to the PvP in Bluesga back then.
Well, better late than never, even if that is half a decade later muhahahahahaha!
So at one point the PvP situation was replied with something like ,,Bluesaga is a game in which just like in One Piece, there are good Pirates and there are pirates who decide to be bad pirates."
Well, I am just re-reading the whole One Piece books again and I can see how the concept of thousands of islands with endless possibilities of what is there and what adventures are there is very well captured, especially from the early One Piece story. Like that Gimo story at the animal island before Lysop joined.
Now... such adventure is all nice and fun for Ruffy and his crew. They can handle situations.
The issue comes if the power gap is too large to overcome. Like the Dress Rosa arc.
Imagine putting a player in the shoes of a Dress Rosa citizen instead of one of the mighty pirates. Even if they combine, they can't overcome a tyrann like the arc's villian. It actually takes an outside force that solves the power gap here.
Now... this is exactly the gap when ,, a certain high level player" bullies on new players.
But there is a significant difference between a Dress Rosa citizen who has no other choice than to suffer and a player who gets forced into such a role:
The player can log off and drop the game.
